Fullerton, Santa Ana Armories to be Open 24 Hours for Next Storm

SANTA ANA (CNS) - With storms possible today, emergency homeless shelters in the Santa Ana and Fullerton armories will be open for a 24-hour period beginning this morning.

From 6:30 a.m. today through 6:30 a.m. Tuesday, transients can access the shelters that have 400 beds and are normally open overnight.

Transients can expect a meal, warm shower and a “safe place to sleep,” according to the Orange County health Care Agency.

Shuttle rides for no cost will be provided to the shelters at 11 a.m., 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. today and Tuesday. Shuttle stops are listed at https://mercyhouse.net/portfolios/oc-armory-emergency-shelters.

Additional shelters are at the Courtyard Transitional Center in Santa Ana and Bridges at Kraemer Place in Anaheim.
