'Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker' Wins Box Office Again in Week 2

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker” kept its spot atop the North American box office in its second weekend in theaters, taking in another $72 million, according to industry estimates released today.

The latest film in the iconic science fiction franchise has grossed a total of $361.7 million domestically, Comscore reported.

“Jumanji: The Next Level” was second for the second straight week, grossing $35.3 million Friday through Sunday at theaters in the United States and Canada, according to Comscore.

“Little Women” was third, opening with $16.52 million, followed by “Frozen 2” with $16.5 million and “Spies in Disguise” with $13.2 million.

Rounding out the 10 top-grossing films of the weekend were “Knives Out” ($9.7 million), “Uncut Gems” ($9.5 million), “Cats” ($4.8 million), “Bombshell” ($4.7 million) and “Richard Jewell” ($3 million).
