Average Los Angeles County Gas Price Drops For 48th Consecutive Day

U.S. Gas Prices Expected To Rise To Highest Levels Since 2014

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped today for the 48th consecutive day, decreasing a half-cent to $3.642, its lowest amount since Aug. 31.

The average price has dropped 48.7 cents during the streak, including two-tenths of a cent on Sunday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It is 3.3 cents less than one week ago and 27.3 cents lower than one month ago but 20.7 cents more than one year ago.

The Orange County average price dropped for the 49th consecutive day, decreasing two-tenths of a cent to $3.558, its lowest amount since Aug. 29. It has dropped 53 cents during the streak, including six-tenths of a cent on both Saturday and Sunday.

The Orange County average price is 3.5 cents less than one week ago and 29.8 cents lower than one month ago but 16.9 cents more than one year ago.
