Amber Alert Issued for 2-Year-Old San Jose Girl and Father

Update: The search for a 2-year-old girl allegedly abducted by her father is over after both were located Monday morning, officials said. No details on where and how the girl and her father were located were given by the California Highway Patrol.

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - An Amber Alert was in effect in the Southland today for a 2-year-old girl last seen with her father in San Jose, where police say he stabbed and wounded his girlfriend, who is the girl's mother.

Bethanie Carraza was last seen with Victor Magana, 24, about 10 p.m. Sunday, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The attack took place about 10 p.m. Sunday in San Jose, the San Jose Police Department reported. The woman was taken to a hospital. Her name was not released.

Magana is believed to be “armed and dangerous,” according to the CHP.

The pair may be traveling in Magana's light green 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe SUV, license number 7XJX045.

Anyone seeing them or the vehicle was urged to call 911.
