A congressman who sits on the committee overseeing the impeachment hearings is in the hospital. Ted Lieu of Los Angeles underwent heart surgery after experiencing chest pains. It turns out, the Democrat was admitted to George Washington Hospital on Monday.
Lieu's office said the congressman did not have a heart attack but did have a stent inserted to open up a blocked artery. The 50-year-old sits on the House Judiciary Committee and is a frequent critic of President Donald Trump. He expects to return to work next week.
