LOS ANGELES (CNS) - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped today for the 29th consecutive day, decreasing 2 cents to $3.803, its lowest amount since Sept. 24.
The average price has dropped 32.6 cents during the streak, including 1.2 cents on Tuesday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It is 7 cents less than one week ago and 32.5 cents lower than a month ago but 26.9 cents more than one year ago. The average price has increased 41.2 cents since the start of the year.
The streak is the longest since a 46-day run from May 8-June 22.
The Orange County average price dropped for the 30th consecutive day, decreasing 2.2 cents to $3.728, its lowest amount since Sept. 18. It has dropped 36 cents during the streak, including 1.6 cents on Tuesday.
The Orange County average price is 7.7 cents less than a week ago and 36 cents lower than one month ago but 24.9 cents more than a year ago. It has increased 37.9 cents since the start of the year.
The streak is the longest since one lasting 37 days from Nov. 15 to Dec. 21, 2017.
