Often times you read of dads not getting along with their daughters' boyfriends, but a story coming out of West Virginia is not like anything you've seen before. It began with the discovery of the body of a 38-year-old man named John McGuire, who had been murdered and left in a shallow grave. Police were given a tip about the body by 55-year-old Larry McClure after they arrested him for not registering as a sex offender.
Well it turned out the reason Larry knew of the body's location was because John McGuire was his daughter's boyfriend and, along with the help of both his daughters, Larry helped kill John. According to police, John was hit in the head with a bottle of wine, tied up, injected with methamphetamine and strangled.
Larry confessed to the crime in a letter to court officials where he called his daughter Amanda, John's girlfriend, the main conspirator in the killing. Since he is in poor health, Larry also wrote, "I just want it to be over. NO TRIAL. NO TAXPAYERS MONEY SPENT FOR A TRIAL."
That alone is a pretty intense story, but the West Virginia State Police went on to discover that Larry had falsified paperwork so he could marry Amanda in Virginia a few weeks after the murder. Larry and his daughters will be charged with murder, and he and Amanda might also get charged with a misdemeanor for marrying each other.
