Average L.A. County Gas Price Drops For 13th Consecutive Day

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped today for the 13th consecutive day, decreasing six-tenths of a cent to $3.992, its lowest amount since Sept. 27.

It was the second consecutive day when L.A. County gasoline prices were below $4 a gallon.

The average price has dropped 13.7 cents over the past 13 days, including 1.1 cents on Sunday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It is 8.7 cents less than one week ago and 21.2 cents lower than a month ago but 32.1 cents more than one year ago.

The Orange County average price dropped for the 14th consecutive day today, decreasing two-tenths of a cent to $3.938, its lowest amount since Sept. 26. It has dropped 15 cents over the past 14 days, including 1.4 cents on Sunday.

The Orange County average price is 9 cents less than a week ago and 22.6 cents lower than one month ago but 32.2 cents more than a year ago.
