Average L.A. County Gas Price Drops for Seventh Consecutive Day

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped today for the seventh consecutive day, decreasing eight-tenths of a cent to $4.071.

The average price has dropped 5.8 cents over the past seven days, including a half-cent on Monday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It is 16.5 cents less than a month ago but 34 cents more than one year ago. The average price has risen 72.2 cents since the start of the year.

The Orange County average price dropped today for the eighth consecutive day, decreasing nine-tenths of a cent to $4.019. It has dropped 6.9 cents over the past eight days, including seven-tenths of a cent on Monday.

The Orange County average price is 6.8 cents less than a week and 17.8 cents lower than one month ago but 34 cents more than a year ago. It has increased 67 cents since the start of the year.
