Lifeguards on the Venice Beach Pier found more that 100 "pieces of medical supplies" (including needles), along the water's edge on Sunday morning...
The Lifeguard Division of the L.A. County Fire Department says they have no clue where the needles came from, but that they also found orange plastic tubes among other pieces of medical supplies. A few pieces were immediately sent to the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health to be investigated.
The beach was closed on Sunday for cleanup. Lifeguards are now looking for any other needles or medical supplies around the area.
