Koehler Urges Higher Gas Prices

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped eight-tenths of a cent today to $4.119, one day after decreasing two-tenths of a cent.

The average price is 2.8 cents more than one week ago and 34 cents higher than one year ago but 13.9 cents less than one month ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It has risen 72.8 cents since the start of the year.

The Orange County average price dropped 1.2 cents to $4.074 one day after decreasing one-tenth of a cent. It is 2.8 cents more than a week ago and 35 cents higher than a year ago but 14.7 cents less than a month ago. It has risen 72.5 cents since the start of the year.
