LOS ANGELES (CNS) - A man was fatally wounded this afternoon in what police believe was a gang-related shooting in Watts.
The shooting occurred shortly before 1 p.m. in the area of 103rd Street and Compton Avenue, according to Los Angeles Police Department Officer Mike Lopez.
The victim died at the scene, Lopez said.
According to broadcast reports, the victim was in an SUV stopped at a red light when he was shot by a suspect who fled in another vehicle.
The SUV, which had a Lyft sticker, was carrying the victim and one other person, according to one report.
It was unclear if the shooter fired from within a vehicle or while outside.
