DIAMOND BAR (CNS) - For the second straight day, the air in metropolitan Los Angeles, which includes the Downtown area, today will be unhealthy for sensitive groups, including asthma sufferers, according to the South Coast Air Quality Management District.
SCAQMD officials said among the culprits include the smoke from wildfires and general smog arising from road, rail and maritime travel.
“Air quality issues in the South Coast Basin can be attributed to smog, as well as smoke from the recent wildfires,” said Bradley Whitaker, a SCAQMD spokesman.
