A 50-year-old woman is facing attempted murder charges after she drove her motorhome through the front door of a casino after she got kicked out. The woman, whose identity has not been released, struck a custodial worker who was standing outside. The 66-year-old was critically injured but is expected to survive.
Police say the woman became irate after she was asked to leave the Cannery Casino & Hotel in North Las Vegas. She went outside, got into her motorhome, and accelerated toward the main entrance of the casino. The woman continued to push the gas pedal even after her RV became stuck. Workers at the casino pulled the woman from the driver's seat, and she was taken into custody.
“Security personnel on-site at the Cannery were able to pull the woman out of the vehicle and detain her, or this could have been worse,” Officer Eric Leavitt said. “Who knows what could have happened. The security people did a great job.”
