Democratic Rep. Katie Hill is having a hell of a week.
First, photos of her naked brushing a female campaign staffer's hair were published by RedState alleging the two had an affair or 'throuple' with Kenny Heslep, her now estranged husband. (Hill identifies as bisexual.)
Then, she was accused of having an affair with her legislative director Graham Kelly, which she continues to deny.
In a statement yesterday, she did admit to having an 'inappropriate relationship' with a female campaign staff member before she entered Congress, and she issued an apology for it.
The statement read, in part:
"To my family, friends, supporters and members of my community. It pains me deeply that I have to send you this note at all, but I want you to hear from me so that I can hopefully put to rest some of the gossip, innuendo and lies that have been told in recent days.
During the final tumultuous years of my abusive marriage, I became involved in a relationship with someone on my campaign. I know that even a consensual relationship with a subordinate is inappropriate, but I still allowed it to happen despite my better judgment. For that I apologize. I wish nothing but the best for her and hope everyone respects her privacy in this difficult time.
But the truth is, distributing intimate photos with the intent to publish them is a crime, and the perpetrator should be punished to the full extent of the law. I have notified Capitol Police, who are investigating it, and therefore will have no further comment on the matter."
The House Ethics Committee has launched an investigation into the relationship.

The Mail says the most recent images were allegedly posted online by Hill and Heslep on a Reddit thread called "WouldYouF***MyWife' and 'wifesharing.' The photos were uploaded using the name 'Angelbutt-123,' (a nickname her husband used for her in text messages between them) and include; a naked Hill holding a giant bong with a tattoo of a cross that some say is a Nazi-era Iron Cross on her bikini line, a photo of her kissing her female staffer, and a photo of her lying down naked on her stomach.
According to the Daily Mail, metadata from the bong photo shows it was taken on 9/11/17, before marijuana was legalized for recreational use in California.
