SAN PEDRO (CNS) - Police today sought public help in identifying a hate crime suspect who scrawled swastikas on the walls of homes and businesses in San Pedro.
The Nazi symbols were spray-painted about 8:30 p.m. on Sept. 1 near the 2000 block of Pacific Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
The suspect drove into the north-south alley west of Pacific Avenue between 17th and 20th streets, got out of the driver's seat and scrawled at least eight locations with swastikas before getting back into the car and fleeing the location, police said.
The suspect, whose gender is unknown, was described as 6 feet to 6 feet 2 inches tall and wearing a sheer stocking over his or her face, a light- colored long-sleeved shirt and light-colored pants. The vehicle was a light- colored four-door sedan.
Anyone with information that could help investigators identify the suspect was urged to call the LAPD's Major Crimes Division at 213-486-7280.
