Out of the many things I love in the world, cheese is near the top of the list.
I'll put it on anything, eat it as is, you name it and if it has cheese on it IT IS MINE.
So when I saw this story about Costco selling a 72 pound cheese wheel, you can say it's my dairy dream come true!
The wheel comes with just as hefty of a price tag, ringing in at $899.99.
According to Costco's website, the Parmigiano Reggiano cheese wheel is made with milk from the Parma and Reggio Emilio provinces in Italy and is considered “the apex of Italian cheese making and a symbol of Italian culture and civilization.”
Now obviously this isn't for the everyday person and is likely a purchase for a restaurant, but it's seems to be on the cheaper end for this kind of item.
Williams Sonoma sells an 80-pound wheel for $2,499.95 and Amazon sells a 75-pound version for $2,820.32.
