LOS ANGELES (CNS) - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped three-tenths of a cent today to $3.568, the 26th decrease in 27 days.
The average price dropped 24 consecutive days, rose one-tenth of a cent on Sunday and resumed dropping on Monday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It has dropped 13.2 cents over the past 27 days, including two-tenths of a cent on Monday, to its lowest amount since March 25.
The average price is 1.7 cents less than one week ago, 13.5 cents lower than one month ago and 6.2 cents below what it was one year ago. It has risen 17.7 cents since the start of the year.
The Orange County average price rose four-tenths of a cent today to $3.549 after dropping 26 times in 28 days to its lowest amount since March 26. The Orange County average price is 1.3 cents less than one week ago, 12.4 cents lower than one month ago and 1.8 cents below what it was one year ago. It has risen 20 cents since the start of the year.
