No....just NO....don't do it!
Despite the fact that you CAN let your Tesla drive itself, the technology really hasn't been around that long, so the rest of the world would really appreciate it if you wouldn't fall asleep.
On Wednesday, one couple caught a Tesla driver grabbing a snooze while zipping by at about 70 mph on the 5 freeway near Santa Clarita.
Clint Oliver says he and his wife just couldn't believe what they were seeing, so they decided to record it and post it to Twitter.
Now, this isn't the first time we've seen this... as evidenced by the videos we've posted below, it seems that some Tesla owners seem to think it's perfectly ok to catch a nap.
But Tesla is very specific about their Autopilot function. According to their website:
"Autopilot is intended for use with a fully attentive driver, who has their hands on the wheel and is prepared to take over at any time."
