When authorities in Connecticut started receiving numerous calls about “lewd and sexual activity” in the Grace Richardson Open Space in Fairfield, they launched an investigation and began to surveil the area.
The cops expected to nab a few teenagers hooking up in the 87-acre wooded area but were surprised when they ended up catching five elderly men and one woman in the act.
Daniel Dobbins, 67, Otto D. Williams, 62, Charles L. Ardito, 75, John Linartz, 62, Richard Butler, 82, and Joyce Butler, 85, were all arrested and charged with breaching the peace. Dobbins and Linartz were also hit with charges of public indecency.
According to the Fairfield Citizen, the wooded-area is featured in an online “City Hookup Guide” as a popular spot for people to meet-up. Officials say they are continuing to monitor the area, along with other locations in Fairfield that were mentioned online.
