Hemsworth Files for Divorce from Miley Cyrus

2018 Vanity Fair Oscar Party Hosted By Radhika Jones - Arrivals

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - Liam Hemsworth today filed for divorce from Miley Cyrus after less than a year of marriage.

The Los Angeles Superior Court petition cites irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split. The couple married Dec. 23, but the date of separation is listed as ``to be determined.''

The documents state that the two have a prenuptial agreement. Hemsworth is asking that no spousal support be awarded to either party.

Hemsworth, 29, and Cyrus, 26, began their on-again, off-again relationship in 2009 during filming of ``The Last Song,'' in which they co- starred. They broke off their first engagement in 2013, then rekindled their romance three years later.

They tied the knot two days before Christmas in Cyrus' Nashville home, after losing their Malibu residence in the Woolsey fire the previous month.
