Southland Gas Prices Drop Slightly

U.S. Gas Prices Expected To Rise To Highest Levels Since 2014

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped one-tenth of a cent today to $3.603, the 15th consecutive decrease.

The average price has dropped 9.7 cents over the past 15 days, including seven-tenths of a cent Wednesday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It is 5.4 cents less than one week ago, 16.8 cents lower than one month ago and 1.5 cents below what it was one year ago despite rising 21.2 cents since the start of the year.

The Orange County average price dropped three-tenths of a cent to $3.58, the 16th decrease in 17 days. It has dropped 9.4 cents over the past 17 days, including six-tenths of a cent Wednesday.

The Orange County average price is 4.7 cents less than one week ago and 14.7 cents lower than one month ago, but 2.7 cents more than one year ago. It has increased 23.1 cents since the start of the year.
