LOS ANGELES (CNS) - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped today for the 11th consecutive day, decreasing 1 cent to $3.626.
The average price has dropped 7.4 cents over the past 11 days, including eight-tenths of a cent Saturday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It is 6.1 cents less than one week ago, 15.5 cents less than one month ago, and unchanged from one year ago.
The Orange County average price dropped for the 12th time in 13 days, falling two-tenths of a cent to $3.602. It is 5 cents less than one week ago and 12.3 cents lower than one month ago, but 3.9 cents more than one year ago.
The Orange County average price has dropped 7.2 cents over the past 13 days, including 1.3 cents Saturday.
“Oil prices are down over the last month because of worries over the trade war with China and its economic effects,” said Jeffrey Spring, the Automobile Club of Southern California's corporate communications manager. “If Southern California gasoline supplies stay healthy, the lower oil prices are likely to push down pump prices further in the coming weeks.”
