LOS ANGELES (CNS) - “Hobbs & Shaw” held onto the domestic box office crown with an estimated $25.4 million this weekend, according to industry figures released today.
The latest entry in the “Fast & Furious” franchise, in its second weekend in theaters, led all films released Friday through Sunday, according to Comscore.
In second place was “Scary Stories To Tell In The Dark,” which took in $20.8 million in its opening weekend.
“The Lion King” came in third with another $20 million in its fourth week in theaters, followed by “Dora And The Lost City of Gold,” which opened with $17 million, and “Once Upon A Time In Hollywood,” which made $11.6 million in its third week of release.
Rounding out the top 10 releases were “The Art of Racing in the Rain” ($8.1 million), “The Kitchen” ($5.5 million), “Spider-Man: Far From Home” ($5.3 million), “Toy Story 4” ($4.4 million) and “Bring The Soul: The Movie” ($2.2 million).
