Southland Gas Prices Keep Falling

ExxonMobile Posts Record Breaking Quarterly Profit

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped today for the eighth consecutive day, decreasing 1.2 cents to $3.657.

The average price has dropped 4.3 cents over the past eight days, including eight-tenths of a cent Wednesday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It is 3.9 cents less than one week ago and 13.9 cents less than one month ago, but 2 cents more than one year ago.

The Orange County average price dropped for the ninth time in 10 days, falling 1.3 cents to $3.627. It is 3.9 cents less than one week ago and 11.7 cents lower than one month ago, but 5.2 cents more than one year ago.

The Orange County average price has dropped 4.7 cents over the past 10 days, including eight-tenths of a cent Wednesday.
