Bank Robber Hands Teller A Note With His Name And Address

A bank robber in Cleveland made it easy for authorities to identify him after handing the teller a note demanding money that contained his name and address. Police say that 54-year-old Michael Harrell walked into a U.S. Bank branch and handed the teller a note demanding cash. He was wearing a black hat and did not attempt to hide his face from the surveillance cameras.

The teller complied, but not before checking the back of the note. She realized that Harrell had written his demands on a document from the Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles which contained his name and address. The teller referred to Harrell, who was a regular at the bank, by his first name as she handed him $206.

She then called the police who issued a warrant for his arrest. He has been taken into custody, but charges have not yet been filed against him.
