Young Girls Snatched From Riverside, Suspect Sought

UPDATE: Authorities announced Thursday afternoon during a press conference that Joshua Adle has been taken into custody and the two girls have been found safe.

RIVERSIDE (CNS) - Authorities in Riverside asked for the public's help this morning in finding two small children taken by a 24-year-old man.

The girls, 20-month-old Darla Yonko and 8-month-old Emma Yonko, were taken about 9:40 p.m. Tuesday by Joshua Adle in Riverside, according to the California Highway Patrol, which issued an alert for the missing girls on behalf of the Riverside Police Department. The exact location where the girls were taken was not released.

Adle is 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighs 150 pounds with black hair and hazel eyes. He was last seen wearing a dark blue sleeveless t-shirt with a tribal tattoo on his upper left arm, the CHP said. His ethnicity was not disclosed.

Adle drives a blue 1982 Cadillac with a white top, the CHP said.

His connection to the two girls was not disclosed.

Darla Yonko is Hispanic and was wearing purple hooded zip-up pajamas.

Emma Yonko is Hispanic and was wearing white and yellow zip-up pajamas.

Anyone who see the children or Adle was asked to call 911 immediately.
