LOS ANGELES (CNS) - “The Lion King” reigned over the box office again in its second weekend in North American theaters, taking in $75.5 million, according to industry estimates released today.
Disney's remake of its 1994 film beat out the opening of director Quentin Tarantino's “Once Upon A Time In Hollywood,” which made $40.3 million, Comscore reported.
“Spider-Man: Far From Home” was in third place with $12.2 million, followed by “Toy Story 4” with $9.8 million and “Crawl” with $4 million.
Rounding out the top 10 releases were “Yesterday” ($3 million), “Aladdin” ($2.7 million), “Stuber” ($1.6 million), “Annabelle Comes Home” ($1.5 million) and “The Farewell” ($1.5 million).
