Video of Armed Robbery Suspect Wanted in Connection With 11 Crimes Released

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - Police today released images of a serial armed robbery suspect who has struck at least 11 fast-food restaurants or gas stations in Los Angeles and Inglewood.

The unidentified suspect's crime spree began on Jan. 9, according to Los Angeles Police Department investigators who say the suspect enters a business armed with a handgun, which he brandishes at employees.

The suspect typically jumps the counter and demands money from the register, then force employees ``to take him to the safe, open it, take the money and flee on foot,'' according to an LAPD statement.

One of the crimes occurred in Inglewood and the rest in South Los Angeles and other parts of the city, with the most recent robbery on Monday in the Fairfax District, police said.

A $25,000 reward has been offered by the Los Angeles City Council for information leading to the suspect's arrest and conviction. Anyone with information about him was urged to call Detective Charles Moreno or Detective Gerry Chamberlain at the LAPD's Robbery-Homicide Division at 213-486-6840.

During non-business hours, calls should be directed to 877-LAPD-24-7. Anonymous tips can be submitted through Crime Stoppers at 800-222-TIPS or lacrimestoppers.org.
