Hearse Driver Transporting Corpse Stopped for Using HOV Lane

So fun fact to hit y'all with...apparently, a passenger has to be alive to qualify as an official occupant of a vehicle if you want to drive in the HOV lane.

At least that's according to the Nevada Highway Patrol.

According to an incident report, a Las Vegas resident found this out when he was pulled over for driving his hearse in the HOV lane of I-15.

While the driver argued the corpse he was transporting should count toward the two or more occupants required for using the high-speed lane, the NHP officer explained that the other person needs to have a pulse to be considered an actual passenger.

Nevertheless, the cop laughed off and let the driver (and corpse) go with just a warning.
