The season of a local youth football team is in jeopardy after some thieves made off with their equipment.
The equipment shed of the Bell Gardens Youth Football and Cheer was broken into and thousands of dollars worth of pads, helmets and balls were taken.
Nathaniel Andujo, one of the players is devastated:
"This is all of our hard work, our dedication, everything that we worked for and all they did was take it away from us. And now we have to rebuild from the top and see if there could be hopes for a season. I'm hoping that there could be one, I want to because I want to live my last year of football here, but if there's not, that's really devastating, it hurts the heart."
While heartbroken, the team isn't throwing in the towel just yet as they've launched a GoFundMe campaign, hoping the community will rally together to help out.
