3 Arrested For Allegedly Burglarizing Torrance Apartment Being Fumigated

TORRANCE (CNS) - Three people were arrested for allegedly burglarizing an apartment building in Torrance that was being fumigated, police said today.

The crime occurred about 1:45 a.m. Tuesday in the 3400 block of 190th Street, said Torrance police Sgt. Ronald Harris.

Los Angeles residents Juan Morales, 21, Richard Muro, 26, and Christina Mejia, 26, were booked on suspicion of burglary.

“One of the residents, who was offsite, received an alert from their security cameras which depicted three suspects entering through a window,” Harris said.”The resident immediately notified the Torrance Police Department. Upon arrival, patrol officers detained Christina Mejia at the location.”

Detectives found Mejia's parked car and started watching it. About three hours later, they arrested Muro and Morales when they returned to the vehicle, Harris said.

“Officers were able to recover the victim's property and evidentiary items,” Harris said.
