News about the conditions at migrant holding facilities near the southern border have made major headlines this week.
These reports have led concerned citizens to want to donate supplies for the children inside, unfortunately, the US Customs and Border Patrol is apparently turning those donations away.
Texas state Representative Terry Canales tweeted that he asked officials for a list of what they needed but was told that items wouldn't be accepted.
According to some reports, the worker's hands are tied, citing the Antideficiency Act.
That act prevents them from taking or spending "other than what Congress has allocated to it".
