LOS ANGELES (CNS) - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped six tenths of a cent today to $3.728, one day after remaining unchanged to end a streak of 46 consecutive decreases.
The average price is 6 cents less than one week ago and 27.5 cents lower than one month ago, but 4.8 cents more than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.
It is at its lowest amount since April 3.
The Orange County average price dropped eight-tenths of a cent to $3.672, one day after remaining unchanged to end a streak of 26 consecutive declines. The Orange County average price is 7.1 cents less than one week ago and 29.9 cents lower than one month ago, but 3.7 cents more than one year ago.
The Orange County average is at its lowest amount since April 2.
