L.A. County Gas Prices Drop For 46th Consecutive Day

U.S. Gas Prices Reach 13-Month High

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped today for the 46th consecutive day, decreasing nine-tenths of a cent to $3.734, its lowest amount since April 3.

The average price has dropped 38.6 cents during the streak, including 1.1 cents on Friday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It is 6.8 cents less than one week ago and 28.3 cents lower than one month ago, but 5 cents more than one year ago.

The Orange County average price today dropped for the 26th consecutive day and 45th time in the past 46 days, decreasing 1.1 cents to $3.68, also its lowest amount since April 3. It has dropped 41.6 cents over the past 46 days, including 1.3 cents on Friday.

The Orange County average price is 7.4 cents less than one week ago and 30.6 cents lower than one month ago, but 4.2 cents more than one year ago.
