Average L.A. County Gas Price Drops For 45th Consecutive Day

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped today for the 45th consecutive day, decreasing 1.1 cents to $3.743, its lowest amount since April 3.

The average price has dropped 37.7 cents during the streak, including 1.5 cents on Thursday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It is 7.6 cents less than one week ago and 28 cents lower than one month ago, but 2.6 cents more than one year ago.

The Orange County average price today dropped for the 25th consecutive day and 44th time in the past 45 days, decreasing 1.3 cents to $3.691, its lowest amount since April 3. It has dropped 40.5 cents over the past 45 days, including 1.7 cents on Thursday.

The Orange County average price is 8.1 cents less than one week ago and 30.3 cents lower than one month ago, but 4.4 cents more than one year ago.
