LOS ANGELES (CNS) - A 67-year-old man who worked as a private track coach in the West Los Angeles area was arrested this morning after being charged with committing sexual battery against an athlete he was training.
A warrant had been issued for the arrest of Conrad Avondale Mainwaring, according to the Los Angeles Police Department, which described the suspect as “a private coach” who “operates at various tracks in the West Los Angeles area.”
According to police, Mainwaring allegedly sexually battered a male athlete “under the guise of physical therapy and mental focus training.”

Mainwaring was being held in lieu of $1 million bail, according to sheriff's inmate records.
Anyone with information about additional possible crimes involving Mainwaring was urged to call LAPD Detective Sharlene Johnson at 213-486-6910.
