LOS ANGELES (CNS) - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped today for the 35th consecutive day, decreasing eight-tenths of a cent to $3.851, its lowest amount since April 6.
The average price has decreased 26.9 cents during the streak, including two-tenths of a cent on Monday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It is 6.6 cents less than one week ago and 23.2 cents lower than one month ago, but 10.6 cents higher than one year ago.
The Orange County average price dropped for the 34th time in the past 35 days, decreasing 1.4 cents to $3.81, also its lowest amount since April 6. It has decreased 28.6 cents over the past 35 days, including two-tenths of a cent on Monday. The Orange County average price is 7.9 cents less than one week ago and 24.7 cents lower than one month ago, but 10.7 cents higher than one year ago.
