#TerrorInTheSkies: So, A Drunk Russian Walks Onto A Plane...

I don't know about you, but if a Russian man looked me in the eyes and said, "Shall I smash your face?," I'm pretty sure I would stop whatever I was doing right away.

That's exactly what 36-year-old Maxim Pashnin said to a male flight attendant on an Aeroflot flight in Russia this week.

But, the flight attendant didn't back down from Pashnin.

(It probably helps that he is also Russian, so that would take some of the intimidation factor out of it...)

It may have something to do with the fact that Pashnin was drunk.

At 10:30 am.

And this conversation came at the very end of his "outburst."

Pashnin started by going into the cockpit of the Boeing 737 and attacking the captain and co-pilot.

He then turned his attention to a flight attendant. It isn't clear how he did it, but he broke their leg.

He got one final attack in by pushing a female flight attendant before the captain and co-pilot recovered and were able to take him down and hand him over to police.

According to Mirror, the plumber now faces up to six years in jail for "air hooliganism."

Curious what started this whole thing?

A cigarette.

A flight attendant asked Pashnin to put out his cigarette.

I've never been in a Russian jail, but I'm pretty darn certain that one cigarette is not worth 6 minutes, much less 6 years in there.
