Santa Ana Police Searching for Suspects Involved in ATM Robbery

SANTA ANA (CNS) - Police today released surveillance video of an armed robbery at an ATM in the hopes it leads to an arrest of the suspect.

A woman was robbed about 4:40 a.m. May 1 after retrieving cash from the machine at 2100 S. Main St., according to Santa Ana police Cpl. Anthony Bertagna.

The robber displayed a gun before demanding the cash from the unidentified victim, who briefly struggled with the man before he grabbed the cash, Bertagna said.

The robber fled in a dark-colored, early 2000s Chevrolet Silverado. He was described as a Latino man about 20 years old, 5-foot-2 to 5-foot-4 and weighing around 180 pounds, with brown hair and a tattoo on his lower right leg. He was wearing a black sweatshirt, black shorts and a Los Angeles Dodgers cap.
