LOS ANGELES (CNS) - “John Wick Chapter 3 - Parabellum” -- Keanu Reeves' third outing as the titular hit man -- conquered “Avengers: Endgame” at the box office this weekend, taking in $57 million in its opening weekend, according to industry estimates out today.
“Avengers” was second, banking another $29 million Friday through Sunday at theaters in the United States and Canada to bring its four-week domestic total to more than $770 million, according to Comscore.
“Pokemon Detective Pikachu” was third with $24 million in its second weekend in theaters.
“A Dog's Journey” was fourth with $8 million, followed by “The Hustle” at $6 million.
Rounding out the top 10 releases, as estimated by Comscore, were “The Intruder” ($4 million), “Long Shot” ($3.4 million), “The Sun Is Also a Star” ($2.6 million), “Poms” ($2 million) and “Uglydolls” ($1.6 million).
