Average Southland Gas Prices Drops for Ninth Consecutive Day

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped today for the ninth consecutive day, decreasing nine-tenths of a cent to $4.047.

The average price has decreased 7.3 cents over the past nine days, including 1 cent on Wednesday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

The average price is 5.5 cents less than one week ago and 2.4 cents lower than one month ago but 29.9 cents higher than one year ago.

The Orange County average price dropped for the ninth consecutive day and 12th in the past 13, decreasing 1.1 cents to $4.018. It has dropped 8.2 cents over the past 13 days, including a half-cent on Wednesday.

The Orange County average price is 5.9 cents less than one week ago and 2.2 cents lower than one month ago but 30.4 cents more than one year ago.
