Because as Amazon pledged to speed up shipping times for Prime members from two days to one, they need boots on the ground to make good on its offer.
Amazon says it would cover up to $10,000 in startup costs and pay them three month's worth of their salary...the offer is open to most part and full time Amazon employees, though not to Whole Foods employees.
