You might have received an Amber Alert for missing, 3-year-old Ciara McCroey in Oakland, California.
If you did, don't worry. The child was never in danger.
According to KRON4, Ciara's father's Mercedes was stolen. In order to speed up the process of getting it back, he decided to say the carjackers had also taken Ciara.
But Ciara was with her mother the entire time.
If you didn't know, filing a false police report is illegal.
Two things happened because of this.
First, the father was arrested
Second, the Mercedes was found pretty quickly! But the suspects crashed the car while they were trying to get away from the cops.
Honestly though, please don't file false police reports. They make real police reports not sound credible.
