The Southern California synagogue where a deadly shooting unfolded last weekend is observing its first Sabbath since the tragedy.

On Friday evening, a group of about 100 people gathered in solidarity outside the Chabad of Poway to support the local Jewish community. Meanwhile inside the synagogue, people gathered to pray for unity and remember the murdered victim of the shooting, 60-year-old Lori Gilbert-Kaye.

Last Saturday, a 19-year-old gunman identified as John Earnest opened fire at the synagogue killing Gilbert-Kaye and injuring three others, including the Rabbi Yisroel Goldstein.
