U.S. Gas Prices Soar To Record National Average

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped two-tenths of a cent today to $4.120, one day after decreasing three-tenths of a cent.

The average price is three-tenths of a cent more than one week ago, 36.2 cents higher than one month ago and 44.3 cents greater than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

The Orange County average price dropped two-tenths of a cent to $4.098, one day after increasing one-tenth of a cent. It is seven-tenths of a cent more than one week ago, 38.6 cents higher than one month ago and 46.3 cents greater than one year ago.
