Established in ’85, Sportie LA is a place that old gems are showcased. Sportie LA isn’t your typical “one and done” spot; they have so many classics that you won’t just want one. They have classics that just get better with age. Sportie LA is a museum where sneakerheads were created and new sneakerheads learn their history. Sneaker collectors are definitely making stops here to add to their timeline of kicks. Sportie LA has unique shoes from the ’70s, ’80s and ’90s.

When I visited Sportie LA, seeing the old Nike SB Dunks and Nike Air Force 1s brought me back to when I was a kid. My brother has been a big sneakerhead for years now, and I noticed these were the shoes he used to go crazy for. Nike Air Force 1s are still very popular today, and these classic colorways still hold true to their value and appeal.
Sportie LA has a few exclusive Jordans in their inventory. They have the Air Jordan Taxi 12s, the unique Air Jordan Spiz’ike, the Air Jordan 8 Bugs Bunny and many others.Air Jordan Taxi 12sare one of the best and latest Jordan sneakers to be released from the Jordan Collection before the other Jordans after them began to look arguably less appealing —except for the Air Jordan 13s. Most sneakerheads can agree that after the Air Jordan 13s, Jordans began to change its genuine look. TheAir Jordan Spiz’ikereally fits Sportie LA’s style since the shoe is a mashup of the Air Jordans 3-6 and has a cool red, white, and blue colorway. The Air Jordan 8 Bugs Bunny sneakers acquired their name from Nike commercials withBugs Bunnyhelping Jordan defeat Marvin the Martian and promote his sneakers. Jordan later appeared in the classic “Space Jam” movie with Bugs Bunny along with other Loony Tunes characters.
Sportie LA is also a great spot to pick up some cool colored vans and converse. They have a wide variety of different styles, patterns, and colors. Going to an ’80s party with a pair of ’80s inspired Converse would definitely improve your outfit and steal the spotlight.
