(The following conversation is a dramatic recreation of real-life events. However, his sad-boy face is very, very real.)
"911, what's your emergency?"
"I just paid some people $500 for sex and nobody showed up."
"I'm sorry, what?"
"I said that I just paid people in one of the other motel rooms to come over to my room for sex and they haven't delivered!"
"So you're telling us that you solicited someone for prostitution?"
"Well, I sure tried to! But they just took my $500!"
Quick!
One guess!
Where did this happen???
You guessed it! Florida!
We can all thank Jon Omer Sengul for this doozy of a story.
The 50-year-old was staying at the Days Inn motel in West Palm when he attempted to convince four people to engage in sexual activities with him in exchange for $500. To be clear, he only asked for one person to come to his room. He didn't seem to care which of the four people it was.
For some inexplicable reason, after a police officer told him his Miranda rights, Sengul proceeded to tell them all about his disappointing encounter.
As you'd expect, police went on out to the motel.
As Sengul didn't expect, they arrested him for solicitation and left the other four people alone.
According to The Smoking Gun, Sengul is now free on $500 bond (well isn't that a fitting amount) and is set for arraignment on April 29.
