The Government Will Pay You To Adopt A Wild Horse!

Love horses? And money?!

The federal government is starting the "Adoption Incentive Program," and if you qualify, they will give you $1,000 in exchange for adopting a wild horse or burro!

They say they want to "encourage more adopters to give a wild horse or burro a good home," and they're doing just that. According to the Bureau of Land Management, more than 4,600 horses and burros found their new, loving homes last year.

Qualified adopters would receive $500 within the first 60 days, and then the next $500 within 60 days of titling the horse. Plus, the adoption fee is only $25!

"The goal of the program is to reduce BLM’s recurring costs to care for un-adopted and untrained wild horses and burros while helping to enable the BLM to confront a growing over-population of wild horses and burros on fragile public rangelands," the organization's website states.
