`Captain Marvel' Rakes In Another $69M To Lead Box Office

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - Disney's “Captain Marvel” has soared past the $260 million mark domestically after taking an estimated $69 million at the box office this weekend to lead all films for the second consecutive week, according to estimated figures out today.

The animated family film “Wonder Park” debuted in second place with about $16 million Friday through Sunday at theaters in the United States and Canada, Comscore reported.

“Five Feet Apart,” a young-adult romantic drama, is estimated to bring in about $13 million for third place.

“How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World” was fourth with $9.3 million in its fifth weekend, and “Tyler Perry's A Madea Family Funeral” was fifth with $8 million.

Rounding out the top 10 releases were “No Manches Frida 2” ($3.8 million), “Captive State” ($3.1 million), “Lego Movie 2: The Second Part” ($2.1 million), “Alita: Battle Angel” ($1.9 million) and “Green Book” ($1.2 million).
